Singo Safari Lodge is arguably the uncut diamond of the north, with a unique geographical setup. The resort is situated along the edge of a cliff overlooking the banks of the Luvubu River. This river forms a natural border between the Makuya Nature Reserve and the Kruger National Park. The setup is a dream for every wildlife enthusiast; it allows a captivating sunrise, and a spectacular sunset. The 16,000 ha Makuya Nature Reserve lies in the north-eastern corner of Limpopo and forms part of the Limpopo Transfrontier Park. Hippos, elephants and crocodiles are easy to spot along the Luvuvhu River, and game such as elephant, buffalo, lion, hyena, otter, impala, nyala, warthog and others roam freely between the Kruger National Park and Makuya Nature Reserve. Using a 4x4 vehicle, the reserve’s many trails and routes are a treasure chest of wildlife and birdlife alike.
